A scarce silver nurses prize medal awarded by the Chester Royal Infirmary along with the matching hospital badge.The John Haygarth medal was named for a physician at the Infirmary in the 18th Century ,and was awarded to the best student nurse of the year,It bears an image of the doctor and is suspended from the original blue and yellow striped silk ribbon, original silver bar brooch fixing.The reverse has Awarded by the Governors to Nurse Edith Pendlebury 1st Prize. 1934 Silver hallmarks for WJD Birmingham 1934 drop 96mm
