Parkside Hospital Macclesfield,Silver RMN badge
A nice silver rand enamel mental nurses badge for the Parkside Hospital Macclesfield.Originally opened as the Second Cheshire County Asylum in 1841, it was renamed Parkside Hospital in 1948 upon joining the NHS.
The design has a shield with a sword with the three wheat sheaves of Cheshire, within a laurel wreath.The hospital title appears on a blue band around the edge. Very good condition with pin clasp and safety roller catch all good but stiff.Engraved for J O'Brien 1962.Hallmarked for Fattorini & sons Birmingham 1963.height 29mm
