A nice example of the early pattern nurses badge for the Western General HospitalEdinburgh School of Nursing.
The central design is the coat of arms of the city of Edinburgh below which is a thistle.The hospital title appears on a blue enamel band around the edge.Some very minor enamel damage around the rim but condition is generally very good.Pin present but clasp is broken.Engraved to rear Ann Bowman No 3 1932-July 1936.Hallmarks indistinct but possibly Hamilton & Inches Birmingham for 1936 Height 28mm
