Another large and impressive base metal and enamel nurses badge from the Hammersmith Hospital.The circular design features an eight pointed Maltese cross on a navy blue enamel background.This has a central motif of two crossed hammers and an anvil in blue enamel and a red winged Lion( I assume for the association with St Mark's Hospital,between 1948-72).Good condition overall with minimal surface scratches.Pin & clasp intact but safety roller catch has lost its catch Unmarked to rear.Height 38mm
