A chrome and enamel Nurses badge for Orthopaedic Nurse Training at the famous Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital in Oswestry.The Nurse training School started in the mid 1930s and this badge is based around the coat of Arms granted to the Hospital in 1944.With the shield in a voided centre, This also bears the motto of the Hospital Deo Dante Damus-God Gives to us that We May Give to Others.Condition is poor with enamel damage to several areas. Pin,clasp in good order.No makers marks but numbered 28 to rear.This low issue number suggests this may have been issued in the late 1940s Height 34mm
