Netherne Hospital ,mental nurses badge

A nice early large badge for what had originally been the Surrey County Asylum near Coulsdon. It was later renamed Netherne Hospital and was eventually closed in 1994.
The Badge features a separate central Cnut cross against a white six pointed star with Netherne Hospital on the red band at the base. Moderate condition with some enamel damage to the cross and temporary replacement pin .Height 36mm
