A very nice silver and enamel badge for the Gwent College of Nursing & Midwifery based at Newport Wales in the 1980s.The design features a initial letter G with a rod of Asclepius to its centre ,this being voided.Gwent College of Nursing appears around the edge with a scroll below denoting the speciality of training. This one is for Mental Health Nursing but variants also exist for Post Basic/Midwifery education/Learning Disabilities and General Nursing disciplines.Very good condition with no enamel Damage.Pin clasp and safety roller catch are all good.Makers mark for Fattorini Birmingham .Silver hallmarks for TF Birmingham 1992.Height 33mm
