A base metal and enamel nurses badge for Orthopaedic Nurse training at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Hospital in Exeter.Opened in 1927 and named for the then Princess , later Queen Elizabeth II.The first badges were awarded in 1969.The badge consists of a pale blue Greek cross to the centre of which is a white rose of York.The hospital title appears on a navy blue circular band around this.Good condition,pin and clasp intact.height 31mm
