a pair of badges awarded to the same nurse for dual training in the1960s.
The first is a chrome and enamel badge for the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children,Brighton.Named for the Princess of Wales, later Queen Alexandra.The hospital opened in 1881 with the old buildings finally closing and relocating in 2007.The badge is in good condition with pin and clasp intact, safety chain in situ.Named to P M Chart RSCN 4.4.60.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent street Birmingham.Height 38mm.with original plastic presentation case.
The second item is a nice bronze badge for St Mary's Hospital Paddington.Known affectionately as the St Mary's Penny.The badge's face features the Madonna and child from the Hospital's seal.This badge is named PM Chart 1960-62. Good condition with nice patina .Pin is good and safety chain is in situ.In its original cardboard presentation box(as found condition)
