Noble's Isle of Man Hospital,Nurses Badge

A scarce white metal and enamel nurses badge from the Noble's Hospital on the Isle of Man.This quatrefoil shaped badge features a central motif of a cross of St George with a lamp of learning imposed.The whole is topped by a small emblem of the three legs of Man.The hospital name and motto (In Manx Gaelic ) appear on a blue border to the edge. The motto Cha Nel Mahene Ach Ooilley-Not For Myself But For Others .The badge was first awarded in 1950.Condition is good, pin and clasp intact.Height 37mm
