Royal Crichton Hospital Dumfries, silver mental nurses badge

A nice nurses badge for the Royal Crichton Hospital Dumfries.Opened in 1838 as a Mental Hospital in joined the NHS in 1948, finally closing in 2013.
The badge features the lion rampant of Scotland with a Wyvern to the top and the motto God send Grace.
condition to the face is good but the back has had an attempted repair to the pin with lead solder which has made a mess.Silver hallmarks for D&F (Deakin & Francis)Birmingham 1947
