A bronze and enamel nurses badge for Whipps Cross Hospital Leytonstone.Originally West Ham Union Infirmary it saw war service from 1914-1918 being renamed Whipps Cross Hospital after that.
The badge features the coat of arms of West Ham to the centre with a blue border on which is the Hospital name and motto Aim High.Good condition with only minor scratches,pin and clasp are good.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Limited Regent Street Birmingham.Engraved for DJC Roberts 1932-1935. this is Doreen Cash Roberts who appears on the GNC register on 22 November 1935.
