Staffordshire General Infirmary, silver Nurses Badge

A silver nurses pendant badge for the Staffordshire General Infirmary..The fob badge features a shield bearing the early arms of Stafford which features a castle(one of two which had stood in the town) above a fish. This is suspended from a Stafford knot which a badge of the Duke of Buckingham adopted by the borough.Some surface wear but generally good condition.Pin and clasp good.Engraved for M Hawkins 18.3.49 Hallmarked to the rear for AF Birmingham 1948.Height 38mm
