Liverpool Ladies Sanitary Association, silver Badge
A rare large silver badge for the Liverpool Ladies Sanitary Association.Founded in the 1890s,the organisation campaigned for better health and social conditions for the people of Liverpool. They also gave lectures and organised training for Lady Sanitary Inspectors, issuing LLSA certificates.
This badge features a swaddled baby on a latticed framework above which is LLSA in blue enamel.TA scroll at the base bears the motto Memor et Fidelis-Mindful and Faithful. A bar at the top is inscribed 1928-35.
