Charing Cross Hospital ,9ct Gold Nurses Prize Medal

A very rare Nurses prize medal awarded by the Charing Cross hospital in the Strand.The medal features an engraved version of the traditional nurses badge of a bronze eight pointed cross . The rear is engraved Isobel Kitton July 1923.
This is Isobel Gwenyth Kitton b.1896 d.1969 who is shown in the GNC register as having trained at the Charing Cross Hospital from 1920-23.She had previously seen service with Middlesex VAD from 1917-18.
in good condition with original ribbon and buckle type fixing brooch
Although not marked it has been tested by a jeweller as being 9 carat gold.
