Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital/GNC pair of badges
A pair of badges awarded to the same nurse for her training in the 1950s.The first is a chrome and enamel General Nursing Council for England & Wales badge, named for MH Bullock SRN 270009 31.3.59.Pin and clasp intact but safety chain broken.
The second is a silver and enamel badge for the Chesterfield & North Derbyshire School of Nursing which was based at Chesterfield.
The badge features the coat of Arms of Derbyshire topped by a caduceus with the entwined snakes.It is also flanked by a number of Pomegranate fruits, a symbol of fertility and regeneration.the blue enamel border bears Chesterfield & North Derbyshire royal Hospital .Good condition with pin and clasp present but loose. The reverse has had the name M H Bullock SRN SCM .It bears hallmarks for JF Birmingham 1957
