A silver and enamel "Puma" nurses badge from the Glasgow Victoria Infirmary.It's two piece composite design features the Puma ( taken from a moulding on the external wall of the Hospital) on a Scottish saltire cross, within a band containing the hospital name.The condition of the enamel is generally good but with enamel loss between Glasgow and Victoria,as pictured.Pin, clasp and catch are all intact .
Named for Mary Smurthwaite ,Birmingham hallmarks for JR&WL(JR & W Laing-Glasgow) and year letter 1923.Height 33mm A popular badge, always in demand despite the slight damage
