A chromed metal badge from the Central Midwives Board for Scotland.This pattern was issued after 1962 after the Board was awarded their own coat of arms.The three birds are Oyster Catchers,birds associated with St Bride,the Scottish saint of fertility.The other bird is the Dove indicative of care and attention.The Thistle represents Scotland.
Condition is remarkably good with no damage to chrome finish .Pin and clasp good.Unnamed Height 42mm
