City Hospital Nottingham,Silver Nurses Badge
Originally the Workhouse Infirmary at Bagthorpe,it changed it's name to the City Infirmary in 1929.This name was to change to the more familiar Nottingham City Hospital in 1934.This pattern of badge was in use from 1934 onwards It Takes the form of a shield with the intertwined NCH and the motto Finis Coronat Opus-The end crowns the work.
The face has several surface scratches and minor nibbles to the enamel,but is in reasonable condition.The pin has just been professionally replaced.The rear is hallmarked for 1935,makers mark JWT for J W Tiptaft & Sons Ltd.Height 27mm
