A rare original cotton Tippet/Cape for the Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service. The Navy blue cape is edged with a red trim.Hook and eye fixing at the neck .The inside has an original makers label for Boyd Cooper 4 St George st. Hanover Square, By appointment to the Queen. ink notation to Biscoe. Some minor wear but no major damage or sign of moth.
The bullion rank badge is for a Superintending Nursing Officer Reserve sister and also bears a Queens crown.
