Originally the Infirmary for the Workhouse, it was renamed Mile End Hospital in 1930.The pendant badge shows a figure, possibly Hygeia, below a Maltese Cross.The pin back bar suspension brooch bears MEH for Mile End Hospital. Condition is rather battered with enamel loss to the Cross but pin and clasp are intact.Unmarked to rear.Height 58mm
