One of number of Signed coloured lithographs by the French artist Gaston Hoffmann from the 1950s.His humorous illustrations often poked fun at the professional figures of Medicine and the Law. Each picture is approx 45cm by 32cm on a thick cream paper.All are signed with some being numbered.
The next depicts a French Chemists shop.A smiling couple are watching the Chemist carefully weighing out medicine onto a balance scale from a bottle marked Poison. The title Nayez Vous Peur D'en Mettre-On a Les Muyens translates as Don't you Worry about Putting it on,We Have the Means.
