Mind Over Matter, A study of the Countries Threatened Mental Asylums,Marcus Binney 1992

A scarce ring bound copy of a publication from the early 1990s by save Britains Heritage .It was aimed at identifying those Mental Hospitals which were at risk of demolition after closure throughout the 1990s and later.
With listings by Heath Authority it lists each hospital at risk with a brief description and history, often accompanied by a black and white photocopied photograph. At 150 A4 sized pages with plastic ring binding, this copy is well thumbed but intact.
A fascinating study of the architectural importance of these building, many of which have since been lost.Please ask for specific page illustrations if required.
