Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps, Uniform Tunic 1949-1952 .
A uniform Tunic for a King George VI period QARANC member ,Major Ruth Saunders. She qualified as a Registered nurse in 1924 and then Midwife in 1926 before moving to India in the 1930s.She joined the QAIMNS(R) and served in Egypt, India and later Malaya In 1949 she joined the newly created QARANC.
This is her uniform tunic with buttons and insignia bearing the kings crown .Separate uniform belt included
It appears to be in very good condition with only one small moth hole to the back. Lining is good with little signs of staining. Please refer to pictures or ask for further details ,if required.
