Nursing badges, medals and ephemera to Major Ruth Saunders QARANC

A large collection of items relating to Nurse Ruth Saunders, B.28/02/1896- D 28/02/1985.
She trained as a registered nurse at the Great Northern Hospital London and then a midwife in 1926. She moved to India in the early 1930s registering with the Madras Nursing Council.In 1937 she joined the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Nursing Service Reserve and served during WW2 . She later joined the newly created QARANC on 1st February 1949
These include her nursing badges and medals, certificates ,photographs and paperwork.
