Moorfields Eye Hospital,Silver Nursing Sisters Belt Buckle

An extremely rare Silver belt buckle and clasp for Moorfields Eye Hospital made by Spink & Son Ltd London.
I have originally thought this may have been an adapted item from one of the silver sisters medals which were awarded for ten years continuous service, However it appears to have been officially made by Spink and son of London and is in its original lined box from them. The cross bears the imperial crown with MEH for Moorfields Eye Hospital to the centre,A belt loop and clasp are to the main body while a separate belt loop is also present .Hallmarked for Spink & Son London 1961
Good condition. An extremely rare piece and the price reflects my purchase cost.
