A First World War brass and enamel Match box cover for the County of London War Hospital.One side features the rest of the London County Council in enamel, this has some enamel loss to one arm of the cross.The reverse side has a ribbon bearing Christmas 1916, these being given to those troops who were in the hospital that Christmas. The spine has County of London War Hospital.
