North Tees School of Nursing,Silver SRN Badge
A silver and enamel pendant badge for State Registered Nurse Training at the North Tees General Hospital,Stockton on Tees.The hospital opened in 1968 and the first badges were given out in 1975, with different coloured enamels on the bars denoting different training disciplines. The blue denoted SRN training with Green for SEN and Purple for Midwifery.
The design features a St Cuthbert cross on a blue background with a castle to the centre which denotes Stockton Castle used by the bishops of Durham. In excellent condition with pin clasp and safety roller catch all good.Named for Alison Wood 28.11.80.Hallmarks for TF Birmingham 1974.
