A scarce First World War badge for the 3rd Northern General Hospital Sheffield.3 NGH had its headquarters at Collegiate Hall,Eccleshall road,Sheffield and included several other hospitals in the area.The capacity of 3NGH was 57 officers beds and 1360 other ranks beds.The badge itself is of enamelled brass with a shield bearing the Red Cross on a white background and scrolls with 3 NGH on a blue background.Pin and clasp intact.Some surface scratches to enamel and minor chips but generally good.Height 30mm
