St Mark's Hospital London, silver Nurses Badge

A silver nurses badge for St Marks Hospital,originally in City Road Finsbury London. It opened in the 19th Century and specialised in colorectal surgery. It moved to the Northwick Park Hospital site in the 1990s. The badge design is taken from the winged Lions of St Mark as featured in Venice's St Marks Square and it featured on the stonework of the Hospitals Nurses Home.
Excellent condition.Pin clasp and safety roller catch all good.Hallmarked for TF Birmingham,year indistinct
