A group of five badges and medals awarded to the same nurse for her Enrolled Nurse and Midwifery Training in Scotland.
They consist of a silver and enamel General Nursing Council for Scotland Enrolled Nurse badge.This is name for R S Miller 15830 .Makers mark for Hamilton & inches Edinburgh.Hallmarked for Birmingham 1970.Very good condition. Then second item is a silver and enamel badge for the KilmarnockInfirmary School of Nursing. In green enamel denoting Enrolled Nurse Training this is marked as being Silver.Named to Ruth Miller.
the third item is a Central Midwives Board for Scotland badge,named for 43102 R S Millar 28.2.75.Good condition.
The fourth item is a silver and enamel badge for the Northern Glasgow Midwifery School.In excellent condition this is hallmarked for H&R Birmingham 1978
The last item is a plain silver fob medal .This is engraved on the back; Mary Morrison Silver Medal Ruth Miller .Unfortunately the silver hallmark is badly rubbed and cannot be read. I know that Mary Morrison trained as a Nurse and midwife in the 1940s in Aberdeen nd nbelieve she may have later endowed a prize medal but have yet to identify where?
