Harrow & Wealdstone Hospital,Silver Nurses Badge

A large silver and enamel Badge for the Harrow & Wealdstone Hospital. The large badge has a lamp of Learning on a blue enamel centre.The outer border features two arrows .One pointing north, the other west(denoting its position North west of London?) Very good condition with pin and clasp intact.Makers marks for L Simpson Ltd, hallmarks for LS Ld London 1947
Upon the creation of the NHS in 1948 the Hospital became part of the new Charing Cross Group with the badge being amended accordingly.
