Nurses League of St Bartholomew's Hospital ,Silver Nurses Badge

A silver and enamel Nurses badge from the League of St Bartholomew's Nurses .A nice heavy badge,first awarded to League members from 1900,this was the second pattern in use from the late 1930s when the word Hospital was added.It Features the Wakering Shield .In good overall condition with some minor surface scratching to the enamel, the pin and clasp are present but show signs of an old repair.Named for J M Minall. Marked to the rear Toye & Co.Hallmarks for Toye & Co London 1957.
