Royal Worcester Figurine, Nursing Sister St Thomas' Hospitalter

A Royal Worcester Figurine from a series of Four featuring Nursing Sisters of English Hospitals. These were modelled by Ruth Van Ruyckevelt in the late 1950s and early 1960s in a limited edition of 500 of each figure. This example is 342/500 of the Nursing Sister from the Nightingale School of Nursing of St Thomas' in London.It features a seated Sister in a pink striped chair adorned with the Hospital badge to the rear.It is approximately 6 and a half inches inches tall with plinth and portrays a Sister in spotted blue uniform with white apron, complete with Belt and buckle,Nurses badge and pleated cap with bows,she is holding a book.
It is missing its box but does have its certificate
