A pair of silver an enamel badges awarded to the same nurse for her Nursing and Midwifery training in Belfast. These are a silver Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast.
An oval badge with a central design showing a lit nurses lamp of learning with stylised beams of light on a green enamel background.The title is around the edge with an imperial crown at the top and shamrocks at the other three quarters.In very good condition with only very minor scratches.The pin is good .Silver hallmarks for Thomas Fattorini Birmingham 1970. Named for P.N.Hawkins A15058 Height 42mm
The second item is a scarce silver and enamel Royal Maternity Hospital Belfast badge.The first badges were awarded in 1972 and take the design of a sculpture of a mother with two children, which formed part of the wall at the entrance to the hospital. In good overall condition it has one very small chip at the bottom edge.The pin is print but is missing its roller catch.Engraved for P N Hawkins 7796, hallmarked for 1971
