St Thomas's Hospital, Nightingale School Post basic training badge.

Another scarce badge from the famous Nightingale School of Nursing.This one is a white metal pendant badge awarded for the Post Basic courses run by the school. The octagonal badge bears the crest of the hospital and is suspended from a small pin back bar brooch(on some versions a coloured bar is added to this denoting the relevant training course ) The rear has the monogram NS for Nightingale school and below this is a number which,I believe, also corresponds to the English National Board number of course completed. In this case it is 54 but I have not been able to identify this. The rear of the suspension bar is engraved St Thomas's Hospital.Good overall condition but with some surface scratches and moderate wear.The pin and clasp are good but the safety roller catch is absent
Once again this is one of a number of similar badges being sold on behalf of a charity
