a rare silver and enamel badge for the Babington and Derwent Joint Training School for Enrolled Nurse Training in the 1960s. The central motif appears to depict a Pomegranate flower and fruit, the symbol representing life, fertility, regeneration, and the medicinal, life-giving power of nature. It has featured on many nursing badges including those of Chesterfield.
