Another scarce commemorative badge for service during the First World War, as a VAD, in one of the many Auxiliary Hospitals around the UK
This small bonze pendant badge was issued for the Holmfirth Auxiliary Hospital. The VADs here were unfortunately nicknamed" the Angels of Bottoms"

In good condition with pin and clasp intact.It is engraved for VAD S A Wood 1915-1919.Makers mark for Fattorini and Sons Bradford
