Nightingale School of Nursing St Thomas's Hospital,Cased Silver Nurses Badge(Muriel Edwards)

Another silver and enamel nurses badge from the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing of St Thomas' Hospital with it's contemporary original leather presentation case.Demand for these remains high
The enamel on this badge is in excellent condition with no damage to the tips.
The pin, and clasp are intact but the safety roller catch is missing and needs to be replaced. It is engraved to the rear Nightingale School Muriel M Edwards 1932 (this is Muriel Mary Edwards who is shown in the register as having trained at St Thomas' Hospital from 1927-1931)
Although not marked as such I know that these were silver.
The case is a slightly different style than usual, in that it is larger and horseshoe shape rather than round .In an excellent condition with only minor scratches to the base. The interior silk is good and marked for John Pinches London.
A nice example with a rarer original presentation case, this is being sold on behalf of a Nursing charity.
