This is a silver and enamel badge for the City Hospital York.The design features a silvered Greek cross with an imposed central shield bearing a St Georges cross associated with York. A Sword and Sceptre are placed diagonally behind the shield.A Red border bears the legend City Hospital York. Good overall condition with only one very minor ding to the enamel at the base of the sword. Pin and clasp intact.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Limited Birmingham.Silver hallmarks for TF Birmingham 1951.
