York County Hospital, Nurses badge

An early brass and enamel badge for York County Hospital. The design features a white enamel Rose of Yorkshire on which a shield bearing the cross of St George emblazoned with five lions, the emblem of York. The Blue border bears the legend York County Hospital in old English lettering. Generally good condition but with some enamel damage as pictured , however the clasp is damaged and therefore cannot be worn.
