London County Council, New End Hospital, Silver Nurses Badge

Yet another of the the popular London County Council Hospital Nurses badges issued between 1930 and 1948.This one is for New End Hospital.Originally Hampstead Union Workhouse ,it was renamed in 1931 after it came under the control of the LCC.
The badge features the blue enamelled cross with central shield bearing the LCC crest,this one on a silver background.There is major damage to the enamel of the arms of the cross, particularly chips to the left arms The crest is good.The pin has a temporary repair to it but safety roller catch is good.Silver hallmarks for Fattorini & Sons,Birmingham 1931.
