A scarce First World War Auxiliary Hospital Badge for the Lady Nevill Hospital which was located at 24 Palmeira Square in Hove. Opened in March 1917 as the Neurological branch of the Second Eastern Hospital, it specialised in cases of Shell Shock, paralysis and other neurological conditions.
The badge is of Brass and enamel and features a stylised rose in red on white.The title The Lady George Nevill Hospital appears on a blue band around the edge..Good condition, pin and clasp intact.Makers mark for JR Gaunt London
