Lancaster Moor Hospital, Silver Mental Nurse Training badge

A large silver gilt and enamel badge for Mental Health Nursing at the Lancaster Moor Hospital.Originally founded in 1816 and previously known as the Lancaster County Mental Hospital,it finally closed in 2000.
A nice badge ,in very good condition bar one small chip at the base . Pin,clasp and safety roller catch all good.Engraved for M Hutchcraft 1972 ,Silver hallmarks for John Pinches,London 1968.Height 32mm
