Antique Staffordshire Flatback Figurine, Miss Nightingale

An original Victorian flack back figurine of Miss Nightingale.Produced, circa 1860, in the aftermath of the Crimean war to commemorate the efforts of Florence Nightingale ,this often bear little or no resemblance to her actual image! This one is approximately 252mm tall and has her standing on a plinth on which is Miss Nightingale,Her hand rests on a pile of books.She is wearing a brightly decorated dress with blue bodice. Plain white back which would have been against the wall on the mantle shelf, vent hole to rear.
Good condition for it's age but moderate crazing to the glaze.

One of a pair of Porcelain Nurse figurines that were commissioned for the Nurses League of the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast.This one features the Staff Nurse in her Blue uniform with white starched Apron and veil.On the apron to the right breast she wears the badge of the RVH School of Nursing.She has one hand on a hospital bed locker on which is a water jug towel and book/bible.It stands on an oval plinth.The whole figure stands approximately 9 inches tall.To the base it is marked for Francesca Fine Bone China,"Staff Nurse" Commissioned by League of Nurses, Hoggs Model Number 144.It carries the signature of K Taylor 88 ( I presume the painter?).A rare figure in very good condition with no chips,flaws or blemishes.This one has the original certificate and the sales flyer.

A limited edition Coalport figurine of Sister Lawrence from St Mary's Hospital Paddington 1895-1900.This was issued for the 60th Anniversary of the Hospital's Nurses League,in 1982,in an edition of 1500, this figure being numbered 658 .Standing at approximately 210mm the nurse wears an Edwardian style full length uniform with white apron,sleeve protectors and frilled cap with bows.In very good condition, however missing its matching certificate or box.

A popular porcelaine figurine produced for Royal Doulton in their Classics Collection from 2000,numbered HN 4287.Modelled by Adrian Hughes,The Nurse features a classic portrayal of a nurse wearing her blue uniform with white apron over which she is wearing a cape with red crossed straps.She has the look of a nurse from the 50s or 60s travelling between her Nurses Home and Hospital.
Approximately 220mm tall.The condition is good with no chips or cracks.There is however one small spot of paint loss to the edge of the cloak, see picture. .With original Doulton Classic box but no certificate. Please email me if you require further pictures,thanks

One of a series of four Limited edition figurines of Nursing Sisters,produced by the Royal Worcester Factory in the 1960s.Modelled by Ruth and Raymond Van Ruyckevelt in editions of 750 they are now eagerly sought by collectors.This figure is the fourth in the series produced in 1969,the Nursing Sister of the Voluntary Aid Detatchment.
The Figure is set on a small plinth and stands approximately 220mm tall.She wears a light blue dress with badges over which is her white apron with Red Cross and belt.She wears a white cap ,also with a red cross to the front.She is carrying a small medical bag.Condition is very good with no chips,cracks or flaws.It is marked to to the base as pictured.It is minus it's box and certificate but still a scarce object.Please contact me if you require any further information.
