Staff Nurse Guy's Hospital,Royal Worcester Figurine
A Rare Limited Edition Figurine of a 1960s Staff Nurse from Guy's Hospital in London.It was commissioned by the Guy's Hospital Nurses' League to commemorate the end of the School of Nursing in 1995. All 750 were quickly sold out by the time of their issue in 1996.The detail accurately reflects the uniform and includes eight flukes in the nurses cap,the correct colour of uniform and cape and black lace up shoes(that do not resemble Doc Martins!) She wears the badge of the Nurses' League on her uniform and stands on a plinth with the hospital shield to the front and the motto "Dare Quam Accipere"-It is Better to give than Receive, on both sides.
The figure is in excellent condition.It stands 225mm high.The Base is inscribed with the details 503 and Limited Edition of 750.One of the less commonly seen Nursing figurines on the market.
