Kings College Hospital silver nurses badge
A silver nurses badge for Kings College Hospital London.It takes the same shape and form as the original Kings College Hospital Nurses League badge which was introduced in 1924.It has the lion above a crown on a book with the motto Sancte et Sapientur -with Holiness and with Wisdom . A scarce midwifery badge for training at Kings College Hospital.The oval badge features a mother with infant and young child within an ornate border.This is surrounded by a green enamel border which bears the hospital title.Some surface abrasions but generally good condition.Pin clasp and safety roller catch are all good.Makers mark for Fattorini Tel 021236552 Height 42mm read more

One of my favourite badges( I trained there!) .A white metal and enamel nurses badge from the Jersey Group of Hospitals.Consisting of the General,Maternity ,Overdale and St Saviours Hospitals, this version post dates mine as being from the 1980s.
