Notley Hospital Braintree
A chrome and enamel nurses badge from Notley Hospital in Braintree Essex.Originally a Sanatorium,the hospital expanded and was designated an emergency hospital during World War 2.It was accepted as a training school for Nurses in 1949 and this badge will date from between 1964 and 1974 when the Hospital dropped Black from it's title in 1964 to aid recruitment.
