The Kingsland School of Nursing ,which was made up of the combined schools of Nursing of the Metropolitan and the St Leonards Hospitals was absorbed by St Bartholomew's School opt Nursing in the mid 1970s.This badge dates to shortly before it's demise.Face is in excellent condition but unfortunately pin is missing.Unmarked to the rear.Height 32mm  read more

Originally opened in 1932 as a colony for Mental Defectives at the Botley Park Estate near Chertsey in Surrey,part of the site served as an Emergency Hospital during WW2. The Mansion house ,which features on the badge,was used as Nursing and patient accommodation( the hospital finally closed in 1997 and the house is now a luxury wedding venue!)
