A Base metal and enamel nurses badge from Monsall Hospital Manchester,probably dating to the 1980s.The badge takes the shape of the red Rose of Lancashire with a central emblem of Manchester's coat of arms,the motto being Consilatore et Labore-By Counsel and Work.The hospital title appears on a blue enamel band around the edge.The hospital finally closed in 1993.
